Sometimes things don’t run as good as they should on court and they don’t seem to get better. Many professional players suggest changing (or at least getting a fresh version) your racket every 2 years. Fourtylove created this list of the top 5 tennis rackets for 2016 (UPDATE: and also for the top 5 tennis racquets 2017) according to the number of sales of these rackets. Important: Very often a change to a different racket helps players to get back to their game freeing them from old boundaries but keep in mind that sometimes upgrading to a newer version of your racket can change everything! Whether you say “racket” or “racquet” you will find a good companion here that helps you to crush some forehands. My personal favourite and also the best tennis racquet 2016 is the #1 racquet on our list. Feel free to comment and share your experiences. Which has been your best racquet? Which was the worst? And by the way, if you are looking for a new tennis bag or tennis backpack we a brand new list for late 2016 here: Top 9 Best Tennis Bags and Tennis Backpacks 2016.
5. Head 2016 Graphene XT Radical Pro
The Head 2016 Graphene XT Radical Pro is one of the newest rackets from Head. The version for 2016 has been leaked since a few month and finally saw the light of the world in late 2015. It is a great quality racket used by Novak Djokovic and many other professionals. This racket uses Graphene – a very light but strong material – which results in a weapon that is easy to move around. Head’s internal testing showed that the Head 2016 Graphene XT Radical Pro transfers 10% more power when swung than any other of their rackets. Great choice when looking for a new racket and keep in mind that there are many variantions of the Head 2016 Graphene. If you are looking for the best racquet for an allround playstyle this might be your best choice.
4. Wilson Ultra 97
The Wilson Ultra 97 is a tournament-racket with a huge amount of touch for you. Its weight is found close to the grip making it easy and fast to move. All players using this racket report that it is extremely good for your arm without feeling like a “dead” racket. Power, Spin and Winners are the results of choosing this racket. The control and power at the same time is what surprises most players with this racket making it an “allround to offensive” racket. Our number 4 on the list of Top 5 Tennis Rackets 2016, the Wilson Ultra 97 is a no-brainer. Interested in a racquet that fits best to you? This one is good but be vary. It’s not meant for intermediate players but more for players that know what they are doing! If you have no idea what racket to test just get this from your local store and make sure to leave a comment about how it feels!
3. Babolat Pure Drive
The new Babolat Pure Drive is one of the rackets you see everyhwere. This racket is a legend that got a remake by Babolat in 2014/2015 and its latest version is a beast when it comes to power. You will find yourself hitting winners and forcing your opponent to errors or short balls all day due to the incredible speed of the Pure Drive. But think before you buy – the name says it all – Pure Drive. Learn to control this amount of power before competing or you will simply hit to many errors. When you like to go all in on the court so that you decide what happens the Babolat Pure Drive (and our number 2 on the list) is what you should definitely consider. Whoever you ask (as long as he knows sth. about the best tennis racquets) will always advice you to test the Pure Drive if you are an aggressive player. Mastering it could change your level by a lot!
2. Wilson Blade 98
One of the best players I know personally once called his Wilson Blade 98 “The Forehand Crusher” and after testing the racket I have to say that he is right. If you are a technically advanced player you will love the touch this racket gives you. The racket is made of Braided Graphite and Basalt which lets the ball dive deep into the sweet spot for more control and crushing power. It’s hard to describe this racket since all I can say is: “Wow!” But don’t choose too fast. This may be one of the best tennis racquets 2016 but it can not only crush forehands but also yourself. If you consider yourself an intermediate or beginner player DO NOT buy this racquet. Just because it is considered the best tennis racquet for so many players doesn’t mean it is for you. Test it and then see if you crush forehands!
2. (BONUS). Head Ti.S6 Tennis Racquet
So many visitors asked: “What’s the best tennis racket for older players?” and therefore we added one of the best selling ones. The Head Ti.S6 racquet is the best one for older players on a beginner to intermediate level. It’s lightweight, easy to control and easy to move around while its power makes it even better. If you are looking for a tennis racquet that helps you with your arm problems this one is a great choice. Reviews around the internet are incredible positive about this being the best tennis racquet for older players or for players with arm problem. The price is also amazing!
