At the Brisbane International 2018 Frances Tiafoe presented himself with a new, never seen before tennis shoe from Nike in his first round match against Matthew Ebden. A friend of mine who is also a crazy Nike addict spotted the small detail and instantly took picture from his TV and send them to me (Thanks Benni!) The shoe seems to be a whole new series not looking like any other known series from Nike like the Vapor or Zoom Cage. It features a small Nike Swoosh on the left (left shoe) and on the right (right shoe) and the “NikeCourt” letters on the inside of the shoe. The colorway that Tiafoe wears is all black with a color similar to “hot lava” but probably a bit more pink. If you look very close you can spot a “Zoom” on the tongue of the shoe.
I received yet unconfirmed information stating that this is possibly the Nike Zoom Court1.

I got some information from people on the ATP Tour connected to Frances Tiafoe stating that he had problems with the Nike Vapor he was using for some time. Luckily Nike seems to have a new shoe (or maybe a new line of shoes) in their pipeline for the US Open 2018 and send the prototype to Frances.
